Rest all states should pass similiar law............
Is it for the strategy of getting all our members to take this law seriously when they are stopped by the cops and asked for papers? Unless something personally affects our members we are content in letting things happen around us........so if such laws were passed in many other states, it would definitely jolt us to action!!!!!!

See it does not matter who files, out of state or local. Main thing is if an RFE comes, will your company be willing to give him all details.............. you have to understand, with new attorney it is just you who is filing at the moment, so for just one case will the company give all his financial details (if asked for).

Possibly, if you leave the country prior to the completion of the receipting process and do not have the appropriate travel documents, you may have difficulty returning to the United States.

so does it means I can have only one GC (I485) processing at a time ? I can't have two GC(I-485) processing in parallel , one dependent I-485 which was filed through my husband's and another one filed under my own GC processing ? Actually, as I already have I-485 filed under EB3 and was planning to file another one under EB2 and though I will take the one whichever gets approved first. Also, this way there will be a backup plan as well. But seems like that is not feasible..huh (

My perm was filed in May 2007 in EB2. Got RFE in July 2007. Replied within 2 weeks. No response since then.

Congrats! good to see an EB3 I from July 2003 getting his GC.
I got my GC but my wife's application (based on my 485) is still pending. I think at this point I can switch jobs/go to school full time and it won't affect my spouse's case. Just want to double check on this, any thoughts??

I know many people have been applying and reapplying for EADs and renewals.
I am trying to see if I can figure out any trends in how they are selecting cases for 2 yr renewals.
Please post your EB category, PD(month/yr is adequate), and approved EAD length. If we get sufficient responses perhaps we can see any trends.

I was not so so keen until this matter was resolved..BUT my GC got approved.
I am separated from spouse. But when I filed 485, I was "married" because our relationship was still unstable.
Now QUITE FRANKLY I am NOT sure what's going to happen ahead.Dont ask me why. This whole uncertainty depressed me . If I re-unite and my wife is in India and I am on GC HOW do I call her here ?
If I divorce and re-marry how do I get my new wife here.
In any case , I dont plan on getting more than 1 person so pl dont look at it from a gamers view.

USCIS has recently published a new fact sheet of common questions and answers for members of the U.S. Armed Forces and their families. For instance, if you are a civilian, obtained your green card through a marriage to a U.S. Citizen and you have been married for less than two years, you must file Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence (http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/menuitem.5af9bb95919f35e66f614176543f6d1a/?vgnextoid=f858d59cb7a5d010VgnVCM10000048f3d6a1RCR D&vgnextchannel=db029c7755cb9010VgnVCM10000045f3d6a1 RCRD) to remove the conditional residence and obtain your permanent green card. our ead is expiring in sep1st week. My attorney has just filed for ead renewal, am still waiting for a receipt no.
Since am working in H1 and not used EAD yet, i wont have any problem.
My wife is currently working on H1B and had plan to switch on EAD, although she has not started using the current EAD.
And her H1 is also expiring in september.
I am now afraid what will happen if her EAD doesnot get renewed before the expiry date. She may neither be able to work in H1 nor EAD.
i should have applied for ead renewal myself instead of waiting for employer to file. The process is getting delayed now.
Guys, is there any way to expedite her EAD to be approved soon?

Similar situation, but my PD is May 2007 and my wife would be here on H4 by September or October at the most. So, I can add my wife's amendment only when my date comes back again CURRENT which should take a few years as per the present Chaos. But as soon as my date comes up, I should be ready to file her AOS.
Any suggestions here if I'm wrong ???
